We were on a waiting list and when we got to the call from the Royal Horticultural society (RHS) to say we had been selected we were blown away with excitement. We had only 12 weeks to create this garden, in what would become our signature style of wildflowers with a nostalgic twist. The garden was based on an old church yard with flint walls and wild romantic planting to create a tranquil oasis to sit and contemplate. Inspired by a north London churchyard that had become a peaceful Sanctuary amongst the hustle and bustle of the manic world around it, the garden won our first BBC RHS People’s Choice award for best small garden in Show. This was truly magical.
